Lipping

Lipping (or edge banding) is used to cover the cut edge of veneered materials such as MDF and plywood. Lipping is commonly used on doors, worktops, cabinets, and tables. They are generally glued on, although some lippings are supplied with a pre-applied thermo-setting glue that allows them to be ironed on.
